Jacquelyn Frank

So, here is another author that I put up there with miss MaryJanice Davidson, Michele Bardsley and Laurell K Hamilton.
The lovely Jacquelyn Frank.
Why do I enjoy her series?
The first book that I picked up, "Jacob", I so fell in love with him. I mean, I wish there were other characters like him, lol. He is so adorable but really bad@$$ at the same time.
Here is the description from the back of the book:

Jacob the Enforcer belongs to one of the many Nightwalker races that thrive on the dark of night. He has a job to do for his species and it's rather straightforward. He polices his people. During the full moon their animal urge to mate overcomes them, and if they stay within their race they never need to encounter the Enforcer. But if they cross the line and turn their lust to another species...say humans...it's Jacob's duty to prevent them and then to punish them severely for it. As this 'madness' grows worse and worse for his people, there is hardly a family who hasn't felt the brutal sting of Jacob's justice. Punishment is so dire and so feared, Jacob can call very few others his friend and the life the Enforcer leads is a very solitary one.

Then one night during a hunt for one of his own, he encounters the first human woman who will tempt him in all of his 622 years of life. Isabella is a simple Bronx gal who works at her local library, lives with her sister and owns a cat.

She hardly expects a night of moongazing to change her life forever and send her falling for a man like Jacob in all kinds of outrageous ways. Heck, she certainly doesn't expect that he isn't exactly a 'man'... although he sure looks like one, smells like one and boy-oh-boy does he feel like one!

As for the Enforcer, Jacob finds himself tempted beyond reason, needing Isabella to the point that he begins to strain against every law he has always upheld.

But before long the couple finds themselves fighting for their lives against evil, Jacob's bretheren, and even their own desires for each other. How can they find the way to resist one another before Jacob faces his own punishments...or before Bella ends up dead, torn up from the animal passion inside of him that she, as a human, is too frail to ever endure?

Sounds intriguing right? I loved the book, and I got some other books that goes with this series. I haven't had the chance to read them because I have others in need of reading lol.

My favorite part of this book, is the earth-shattering sex scene. Literally, earth-shattering lol. For some reason, it always stuck in my mind, that scene. lol. It made me laugh lol.

As my mind is fried

Ok, so it's been a few days since my last "little" bloggie.
I'm going to just do another little one, considering it's about the first book in a series I am currently reading, BECAUSE MY BRAIN IS LITERALLY FRIED FROM CRAMMING SO MUCH MEDICAL DISORDERS AND SYSTEMS AND BLAH BLAH BLAH IN MY HEAD LOL.
So, the series I am talking about is the Broken Heart series. No, it's not about broken hearts lol. It's based in a little community in Broken Heart, Oklahoma.
The first book, "I'm the Vampire, That's Why", is about a woman named Jessica Matthews who is one of 11 single parents who were turned during an unfortunate incident (a vampire has "the taint" and goes on a killing spree). She wakes up sucking on the thigh of a naked vampire Patrick O'Halloran. Hee hee.
Anywho, she can mentally have conversations with Patrick and his brother Lorcan (the one who went on a killing spree).
Lorcan's "taint" was that he is a vampire given dead blood of a lycanthrope, and made him go mad.
Patrick finds out that Jessica is his "soul mate", and teaches her all these things, like using his fairy swords, fighting like a pro, and flying and so on and so on.
Anyways, she also finds out stuff on her late husband, not only did he cheat on her, but he felt so bad, and that he wanted to make it work but the girl he cheated on her with wanted to sabotage their marriage which worked. But nothing was solved due to the accident that killed him.
Oh yeah, and the "other woman" Charlene is also one of the 11 who were turned.
And they all go against "the wraiths" who are the ones behind the "taint", and tries to demolish all the vampires in Broken Heart, but . . . yeah, I will stop there lol.
Ok, so I know I'm not making sense on this book, but you will definitely enjoy these books. I'm currently reading the second book, "Don't Talk Back to Your Vampire", which is the 2nd book of the series, and I've read books 3 and 5 (Because Your Vampire Said So, and Over My Dead Body), so I started in the middle of the series and not even realized it lol.
Here is the link to the author:
